1. Where can I get an entry form?

Entry forms are available from the Ride Registration page.

2. How can I enter if I want to pay by cash, cheque or money order?

Payment by cheque or money order.
Payment by, Paypal or credit card.

3. When will entries close?

You must enter by Friday 3 April 2009 .
If you plan on ordering a jersey or t-shirt you must order by last Friday in March 2009.
Pre-event postal, fax and online entries close Friday 3 April 2009.

Entries will be accepted on the day up to 7.00am.

4. What do I receive for my entry fee?

  • Entry Kit including Ride Guide
  • Certificate of Achievement
  • Bases with water, toilets, first aid and bike mechanics
  • Where morning tea will be along the ride
  • Dedicated volunteers who can assist you on the day

5. Can I request a refund?

A $5 administration fee will be deducted from the entry fee. Cancellations will not be accepted after the closing date.

6. Does it cost extra to enter a team?

There is no extra cost associated with entering a team, each member simply pays for his/her own
individual entry.

7. What happens if it’s raining?

Over the course it can rain in one section and be fine and sunny in another. Riders should be prepared for all weather. The event goes ahead rain or shine, unless there is a significant danger to participants because of poor visibility, lightning, storms, or strong winds

8. What happens if I breakdown or if I can’t complete the ride?

 

Up to 100 volunteers will be working along the route, as well as bike mechanics and first aid personnel. They are ready and happy to provide assistance to anyone who may breakdown, feel ill or experience other difficulties.

We recommend that you have your bike serviced before the ride and carry a puncture repair kit and pump.
If you breakdown turn your bike upside down and wait.

If we cannot get you going again or you feel you cannot complete the ride, we have a trailer that will collect you and your bike and transport you to the finish site.

9. Does it get very crowded?

No the riders spread out evenly on the road, it only gets crowded along a few short sections of the course. Cyclists start over a three hour period and soon spread over the route.

10. How safe is it?

We do everything possible to make the course safe. If you follow basic road safety rules, drink plenty of fluids and follow instructions from route marshals, particularly on the downhill sections, you'll have a safe and enjoyable ride.

11. What about insurance?

Lifecycle does take insurance for injuries if an accident occurs. We recommend that you obtain personal accident insurance before taking part. This type of cover is available through membership of Bicycle NSW .
